10 Arguments to Convince Your Customers to Install Automatic Doors

The American Association of Automatic Door Manufactures (AAADM) has an excellent PDF on their website about the top 10 reasons to install automatic doors. These can be great selling points to help convince potential customers who are undecided about whether or not to install automatic doors in their building.

In summary:

1. More Choices

Choose automatic swinging, folding, or sliding doors in an array of colours, finishes, and designs to suit your building's specific needs.

2. Consumers Prefer Automatic Doors

According to AAADM's consumer research, 98.9% of consumers prefer automatic doors. Furthermore, the study found that "many consumers desire automatic doors in places they aren't typically found today".

3. Convenience

Consumers feel that automatic doors should be used by business establishments, as a show of commitment to customer service. It is particularly important to make entry easy for people who are elderly or handicapped.

4. Image

It's important for businesses to make a good first impression on customers and clients. Automatic doors can contribute to a good first impression, while manual doors can contribute to a negative first impression (especially if the customer has a difficult time with it).

5. Easy to Own, Use, and Maintain

Daily use of an automatic door is usually trouble-free when it is installed and maintained by a qualified professional.

6. Value

There are many economical automatic door options available which have lengthy lifespans when correctly maintained.

7. Energy Savings

Automatic doors help reduce energy expenditure by helping to maintain the inside climate of the building. They close completely and cannot be left open accidentally; this decreases heating and cooling costs.

8. Safety

National standards outline the requirements for automatic doors, ensuring their continuing safety. AAADM-trained inspectors and technicians are qualified to assess whether doors are compliant, and can provide service if updates are required.

9. ADA Compliance and Access for the Elderly

People who are elderly or handicapped need easy access to buildings, with minimal effort. Automatic doors achieve this objective and welcome everyone into your building.

10. Access to a Network of Professionals

AAADM members are certified through AAADM training. Every member is a product of the collective knowledge of an organization dedicated to safe and reliable door operation.

This document provides great suggestions for tackling the objections of business and building owners who may be uncertain about installing an automatic door. To learn more about each argument, click below to get the full version.
