Optex Touch-Free Air-Slide and Air-Wave for Hygienic Knowing Act Door Applications

Air-Slide and Air-Wave are touch-free presence sensors from Optex made for reliable activation without the need for direct contact by the pedestrian.

These products are designed for Knowing Act door applications. They are ideal for doors in facilities that must meet high standards of hygiene (for example, hospitals); notably, they are particularly useful for eliminating the cross-contamination point presented by push switches.

Air-Slide

Air-Slide is an active infrared door sensor with a built-in touchless switch, which activates when it senses the presence of a user's hand in front of the sticker. This prevents unnecessary activations by passers-by. When activated, the Air-Slide turns on a larger threshold area detection zone.

Safety is guaranteed by two rows of presence detection that sense a person or object in the threshold area, keeping the door open until they have safely passed through.

Air-Wave

Air-Wave is a wireless touch-free door switch for the safe and convenient activation of low energy and Knowing Act doors.

This product is mounted at ceiling height, and senses the presence of a user's hand within the detection area. Foot stickers are also available for facilities where employees may not have a hand free to activate the door.
